Meet Helga - where it all began
Born with a deep love for horses, I've been captivated by the enchanting bond between humans and these majestic creatures since childhood, shaping my dreams and ambitions.
I was born in Australia but grew up learning to ride in Germany. At the age of 20 years old I made the big leap across the oceans to follow my longing for Australia.
In Australia, I have always worked with horses alongside traditional jobs, as the joy and fulfillment from this connection with Horses is irreplaceable. Over the past 20 years, I worked with a big variety of horses and people.
Reflecting on my years, both in Germany and Australia, I have increasingly understood a significant short falling in the approaches employed to teach and nurture our future riders and the horses they train, regardless of whether they are beginners or advanced students. My experience has led me to firmly believe that horses are much better understood when their human companions embark on their learning journey from the ground up, always keeping in mind the intricate nature of the horse. While I acknowledge that improvements are being made in various regions, it is with passion and enthusiasm that I strive to impart to my students the essential principles of how balance and proper seat position profoundly influence and communicate with the horse in a nuanced and sensitive manner. We possess an array of aids at our disposal for effective communication with these wonderful creatures, and I am excited about the opportunity to share and pass on my knowledge to aspiring equestrians.
We've thoughtfully designed the paddock and facilities to nurture our belief in the well-being of happy horses, from their stomachs to their minds.
