Introducing

Since teaming up in 2024, Ed and I have been busy. We have collated seven lovely natured mares that have been well-bred, influenced by famous warmblood lines known for great conformation and trainability. Their strong lineage hints at their potential to excel in all Olympic disciplines, all exhibiting dynamic movement with international lines. We look forward to welcoming three beautiful foals in the 2025 season.

We host a select  embryo recipient mare herd supporting clients and our mare flushes with back-up from leading collaborating veterinarian colleague herds when needed or suiting client mare farm arrangements.

Lisheen Farm recipient herd — overview for clients

We maintain a select Lisheen Farm recipient herd of approximately 20–30 mares chosen for fertility and temperament to optimise embryo transfer (ET) programmes. Our recipient mares receive optimal comprehensive husbandry including routine health (worming and vaccination), dental care farriery, careful paddock and parasite management, balanced nutrition and tailored biosecurity measures to reduce disease risk and support pregnancy success.

Precise oestrus synchrony and reproductive monitoring are used to optimise recipient suitability to host donor mare embryos. Further careful timing and monitoring protocols  optimise the window for embryo transfer based on mare and semen factors. 
Detailed records of cycles, treatments and outcomes are maintained and shared with owners. High welfare standards guide all procedures to minimise stress for both donor and recipient mares.

• Dam sire - Fürst Heinrich (WESTF): The legendary 2003 World Champion of 5-Year-Old Dressage Horses (overall score of 9.3). Despite passing at a young age, he sired over 40 licensed stallions, including the iconic sire Fürstenball.

• Great-Grandparents Lineage: Backed directly by the foundational influence of Florestan I and Donnerhall—the two absolute cornerstones of modern rideability and Grand Prix mechanical aptitude—consolidated by the versatile sire Grande (great-granddam sire)
